Oh, what sweet girls! I'm sure they'll be doing a few vintage selections, like "I Love You Truly" and "The Sweetest Story Ever Told." I just hear them. Really, I can!

Does the wedding need a harmonica player?

Posted by ann-a44   (86 ) on Feb-09-08 at 19:31:58 PST
Oh, of course we do! What a cutie pie he is. What's his name?

My Riley and Friends want to know if they can provide music at the reception. Will there be any dancing?

If I get some pictures taken between now and friday, I will have a better one of the band. And I am trying to decide which dolls get to come to the wedding. I am with Ila, I think the babies will ahve to stay at home or at least in the nursery. Wouldn't want them crying during the ceremony. However, Ginny and Ginger want to come as well as Jill and Jan, and Little Kitty, and , and ,and . LOL. Mary r

Posted by ann-a44   (86 ) on Feb-10-08 at 15:12:31 PST
Bring as many babies as you want, and we'll put them all in a nursery. Eileen can bring her nanny doll! We'll have separate pictures of each section of the nursery, of course, but SuperdollNanny can watch them all.

Posted by ann-a44   (86 ) on Feb-10-08 at 15:13:11 PST
The cradle in my LR will hold a lot more babies. And I know Lisa can bring a few...Debra Jean, for example, etc.

Posted by nmsept   (806 ) on Feb-10-08 at 15:45:53 PST
great minds think alike anne. i was plannng on bringing the nanny to share her so babies could come and mom's could party. lol E

Posted by nmsept   (806 ) on Feb-11-08 at 10:51:59 PST
Nobody here - oh well I'll just chat by myself LOL Well, there's a lot of bickering in E's house over who is going to the wedding of the century! I had to put my foot down with some of the dollies. There are just too many to attend! So those who get to go must have valentine outfits and since it is still winter they must have hats and coats too! Of course Charmin Chatty will be there and the Queen ST. Baby Annie O still pouting because I won't let her wear her Easter Outfit. SO I had to give her her valentine present early to keep her happy! A red and white baby clown with hearts!!! Don't forget babies can attend because I'm bringing the nanny. Mary Poppins said she can handle as many as you mommies need caring for! E

Posted by nmsept   (806 ) on Feb-11-08 at 11:16:30 PST
I'm only bringing children and babies and the nannyof course. TOld them they were too young to catch the bouquest. You should put a name in the hat of all the eligible ladies and announce who cot the bouquet! By the way did the garter fit! E

Ginger, do you have any idea how much I LOVE Capt. Kangaroo? I wish he were actually here. Anyway, we can post him Friday night. I'll save him with the other wedding pics. We've done some prelims.

I never knew Captain K was a Marine. Perfect!!! this just keeps getting better.

I spent the entire morning (I'm serious) answering phone calls from daughters, my mother, and my friends. I think I'd better consider starting the dishwasher, since we've run out of clean forks and the shink (gasp) isn't shiny.

Anne..delightful song, isn't it? It's been going around in my head too :O).

Jared is waiting for the wedding...he says that according to Anne's theory, he can be in two (or more) places at once, as dolls do not occupy ordinary time nor ordinary space!

Posted by rocse   (103 ) on Feb-11-08 at 16:35:15 PST

There is a wedding in Georgia? We better quit playing in this snow and find some thing to wear.

Posted by ann-a44   (87 ) on Feb-11-08 at 18:38:11 PST
Evening, everyone, and I can see that the roads, the dirt paths, the skies and even all the navigable rivers between here and...EVERYWHERE...are full of wedding guests. Jared has it right -- plenty of room because dolls are not bound by ordinary time OR space.

A wedding?? Did someone say a wedding? in Gerorgia? I am on my way. I can get there I know I can. Don't you darn say "I do" without me!! He/She Grasshopper, peddling as fast as he/she can.

Posted by ann-a44   (87 ) on Feb-11-08 at 19:08:44 PST
It's Heshe! We thought he/she had become a splatter on someone's windshield last summer. So glad to see we'll have a rep from yet another species (dolls, doggies, kitties, humans, grasshoppers -- this is getting downright biological!) at the wedding. This is BIG.

Hello Doll Chat! Just popping in to tell you that I would be very honored to attend the wedding Friday night, and thank you for the invite.

I need to know the mode of dress tho. Formal? Casual? Would it be tacky if I wore my nightgown? And are the happy couple registered any where as I am assuming we need to bring a gift? Should I rule out livestock?

This extremely happy, or else slightly tipsy, bride and groom adorned my DH's aunts wedding cake around 1929. They are still wearing their crepe paper tux and gown.

Wishing Anne a very happy birthday too. You and I are the same age and still playing dolls. We are cool! Yes? LOL.

~ Carol, who hangs on the Barbie board but collects a variety of dolls.

How nice of Thunderella to respond to the wedding invitation. Should I tell her that my favorite outfit in the world is a nightgown and robe and I get so much work done in them. I am very hard on robes though.

Anne, I suggest cleaning after the wedding. Especially with (whisper) Earl's group. Just a kind suggestion. Glenda

Glenda, Earl just reminded me that he will take care of cleanup....any crumbs left on the floors, or in Annes yard will be promptly cleaned up by his Pet Pot Belly Pig...If his hounds don't get to it first.

Anne Andy, Abbey and Alice schoey will be honored to attend the weddint too. Meg

To Carol from the Barbie Board: Nightgowns are utterly recommended for the Big Event. The newlyweds are registered at Dolly Gap, Crate and Barbie, Toys"R"Us Too, and Abercrombie and Fitch. And they have so many gifts already that your presence should be their present!

Hello Anne and Everyone....Thank you for the invitation to the wedding posted on the Furby board.....I come to the Doll board often to look at all the dolls and drool. I use to collect dolls and teddybears but it got out of hand.....I listen in on a lot of the boards but I think the Doll Board and the Furby Board have the nicest people of all the boards.....Doll and Toy lovers are the happiest and gentlest people in the world....Anyway I will be at the wedding with bells on and thanks again for the invite.....

Oh and congrats to Uno.......{leaping Snoopy gif}

Ladies....You've got me all interested in dolls again. Got some of them out and here's some of my favorites. May I bring them to the wedding?????.....They are all well mannered and the Schoenhuts were praying for someone in another chat room awhile back.......

I told Miss Revlon that she was invited to Elise and Todd's wedding and she threw a fit about her hair. she insisted I restyle it. She is really upset that she can only find one of her pearl ear rings too.

When miss Dollikins learned that Todd was marrying Elise, she burst into tears. She had thought he was going to marry her.

Miss Revlon talked with Miss Dollikins and told her everything would work out and they could go to the wedding together.

So they will both be attending after all.

jill and jan got in an argument about which one was going to go with Jeff to the wedding.

jill and jan ended up getting in a fight

But Jeff surprised both Jan and Jill by asking Miss Kitty to attend the wedding with him.

The End (Until tomorrow)

Mary- I certainly hope that those young ladies know their place at the wedding tomorrow and don't cause any problems, especially when the minister asks if anyone objects to this marriage. I guess Hunky Todd is a real heartbreaker. My only hope is that he is truly ready to settle down and be a good husband. Please don't tell Debg I said that about her son but.....So I hear tell...this isn't the first woman that has gotten in a fight over him. Oh Well......
Debg is a great mother to her BW's. I just hope it rubbed off on Todd. Time will tell. (Gosiping) Glenda

Mary, your story about getting the dolls ready for the wedding was a SCREAM! I think it served those little heifers right that Jeff invited someone entirely different to the wedding. They have learned their lesson, though, and I'm sure they will be ladylike in the extreme at the wedding. They wouldn't want him to know they even care.

I am concerned that so many think Todd may not be ready to settle down. He's been living in my house nearly three months now, even though he had to stay in the box for several weeks until Christmas Day (I think he and Danny were messaging each other, asking if they'd EVER see the light of day). So far, he has been a perfect gentleman. He never looks at another dolly, and he's shown great interest in the babies around here. I believe he'll be a good hubby and father. He will be a real credit to his mom.

BREAKING NEWS - LIVE FROM LOGAN - Ten Lucky little ladies chosen to attend the wedding of the century! E Reporting from Boston, MA where a group of children are on their way to the sensational wedding of ELyse and Todd in GA! THey are accompanied by Mary Poppins, world famous nanny.

Tell me Miss Poppins, What was the criteria for selection? Well, they all simply had to have hats and coats!. And what other sights will you be seeing during your trip down south? We might pop through a chalk pavement picture or attend a country fair and ride a carousel or perhaps even join in on a southern fox hunt but there will absolutely be no tea parties on the ceiling. We dont want to get thrown out of the hotel. E

Mary Poppins and Miss Kissy sporting a fabulous matching faux fur hat and coat. We don't believe in real fur like that ST. We forgive her though because she is from the 1930's when it was not politically correct! Miss Temple's response " Well they are all just green with envy because, as the favorite of the mother of the groom, I am the only one who does not have to wear a hat because the MOG & styled my new wig! E

When asked how can you handle ten children on such a long trip especially on an airplane, super nanny replied: Well the three oldest are such a big help with the little ones and of course Miss Charmin Chatty is a former stewardess! E

...And of course, said Mary Poppins, Miss Horsman is here to help and she has been around the world in santa's sleigh so she is a great world traveler! E

I feel very fortunate to be attending, said Miss No name, at the last minute one of the girls got a little head cold and it was determined that that would not be good for flying so she loaned me a hat and coat. E

Baby Annie O has probably the best reason for going - she will be reunited with her long lost twin recently located in GA. Yes and to think I almost didnt make it until Mary Poppins relaxed the rules and considered a sweater appropriate outerwear since I didnt have a coat! E

Sweet Tears by Madame Alexander, the youngest of the group, hopes she doesnt embarrass herself. "You see, said sweet tears, I always cry at weddings"! E

LAST CALL FOR FLIGHT 214 departing Logan for GA. As the group heads to the plane we hear Miss Green coat whispering to Miss Red Coat "What's all this about the oldest helping babysit? I didn't know this was a working vacation!" E

Well the hats and coats are all put away - we've just had fun in the hotel pool and now we're dressed in our valentine dresses ready to take our places at the wedding. But before we go the oldest will speak for the group.

To the bridge and groom - Best wishes for a beautiful wedding and a long and happy life. The babies from Boston LOL. E

Miss Poppins, FYI, you really shouldn't miss High Tea at the Ritz Carlton while you're in Atlanta. You and your little charges are certainly dressed for the occasion, and I know they will behave themselves. But you're right -- no tea parties on the ceiling.

Oh -- forgot to say -- the cost of High Tea at the Ritz (an actual event) is $60 per person. You might negotiate a group rate. I'm still saving up to go myself.

Oh, Hope, I'm so glad you're here! I was very concerned that you wouldn't make it in time for the wedding. Come here and give me a hug!

My, you have no idea how glad I am to be here and get out of that box! But UPS was very good to me. I couldn't stand to miss the wedding.

This baby is my traveling companion. I guess we should give her a name. I never leave home without her.

See, Hope helped me open Colleen's gift.
