I married the love of my life Sharon on Oct. 14th, 2007, the best thing that ever happened to me.!! You can view pics of our wedding (and PGR Mission Rides) at: I first started playing guitar at 12 years old, when my soon to be brother in-law gave me an old Harmony acoustic. It had a broken neck/ body joint, that made the strings a mile off the fret board and was unplayable as is. Being the Mr. Fix-it that I am, I took a piece of nylon rope and a six inch wooden ruler, tied the rope to the strap button on the body and to the neck under the strings just past the bridge nut, then back to the strap button. Next I put the ruler through the two sides of the rope near the neck/body joint, spun the ruler til the rope became taut and pulled the neck back into place, then cocked the ruler into the body to hold it there. Seems I played on that Guitar for several years (it wasn't til I went in the Navy in 1977 that I bought my first brand new guitar) but it wasn't my only guitar, I had bought a used 12 string Kay acoustic, but I never quit playing it as my 6 string until I went into the Navy. The guitar I bought in the Navy was a Yamaha six string acoustic, it played good, and really helped my playing ablitiy, that and the fact while at sea you have alot of time to practice!! Soon I was getting into singing & playing stuff like Neil Young, Led Zeppelin, and the likes, but my real love was not acoustic music. I really had a desire to play hard rock electric guitar, stuff like Black Sabbath, Van Halen, Deep Purple, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and a soon after getting out of the Navy that became so... Well now I own alot of different gear, some electric, and some acoustic. I've played in a few small time bands around the middle Tennessee area (Night Stalker, Black Smith, The Copper Still Band, and Baa-d Baa-d Blacksheep). Now it's more about having fun to me!! We are taking the world one day at a time hoping to have as much fun as possible!!! Ride'n & Rock'n.!! |

Like the wind we can fly with wings totally unfurled, and pause to relfect on thoughts only we can gleam. This is the magic of hearing a familiar piece of music. To bring back memories long hidden in our soul, and make them seem as real and fresh and poignant, as if today had disappeared, and yesterday was here making us whole. Great music can move the strongest to tears or laughter...lift our spirits or bring us down so low. This is the power of music, for now and ever after. Now lets hear the music flow.!! ~B. Duval~ |
