~ God's Love ~

I sit and listen to people talk The mention of charity they want to balk. Hearts filled with hatred, fear and discord. Spewing their venom while quoting the Lord.

Blind to God's compassion and love. His teachings a gift from above. But many of God's children fail to see, Exactly what His teachings are to be.

He taught us to love one another and be kind, To be a Good Samaritan when those we find. To be blind to the color of the shell you are in, And see the flame that lights the soul from within.

Understand and sympathize with those in despair. The ones who opens their hearts and their homes are the ones that are rare. For they have eyes to see and ears to hear. They know God's Word and have nothing to fear.

They need not put people under their scrutiny. Nor degrade others to fill their own need. For when you let go of your hatreds and intolerances, And you let go of your walls and fences. Then your heart is free to be filled again, And all of God's Love comes pouring in.
