GifWorks Lesson (Newbies)The original Tutorial was posted by: Newsgroup: Gypsy Jewels Now known as Mslauralou From: Ginger Date: 18 May 2001 to get to gifworks..just hit go to and type gifworks and go to page. C/C/P this image and take to gifworks ovalflower2.gif Once at gifworks, make sure page is fully loaded (see name in statis bar at bottom of screen) Click on File, upper left corner. then click Open Image Next screen, scroll down and paste the addy of image in the box, delete what's in there first. Now click on Fetch Image, just below that box. Next screen, click on the Edit at top of page, scroll down to Add Text, click. Next screen..select the color you want, the font type and font size, type in your text. I used color 6633FF, Arial Bold, size 40. Scroll down, till your image is high lited, hit return, watch where the arrow goes, Put the arrow where you want your name TO BE CENTERED click return. Next screen will show your results..if satisfied, go up to File click on save. Next screen, scroll down to Webtv Users and click where it says, Here. Next screen, just upload to your scrapbook, or transload as you normally do. Bg on this is black cause I had to make it that way to cover up the WELCOME that was already on it. If you want it transparent, before selecting save, click on edit again and scroll to Transparify, click and you'll get the clear bg. I choose to keep the black, myself: ovalflower2.gif Notes: You're suppose to be able to just hit back, if your not satisfied with your results. Glitch I guess. but most of time does not work what I do is hit recent, look for the square that says, Enter text(not the totally black one) and click on it. Write down the color #, font and font size cause if you go back you may have to re-enter all the info. If it's working right, you can hit back and all you have to re-enter is color. You can also click File, select Revert original image. If you want to add additional lines of text, just repeat the steps for Adding text. |
