Add Space @ GifWorks

Have you ever wanted to add a name to an image, but not wanting to annotate ON the image?

Have you ever wanted an easier way to add space AROUND the image, to write on?

Sure, you could use your black.gif or invisable.gif, go to I-Magick, composite an image on the larger BG gifs mentioned above --
but this will save you some time, and for those of you who might be more familiar with GifWorks than I-M.....

Take your image to GifWorks, and get it loaded up.

Hit the 'edit' button at top,
and scroll down to 'rotate custom'

On the next screen, enter the number 30 in the box
your image will be rotated 30°
which will cause the perimeter of the image border to widen.

Use 10 if you need just a little space
or 45 if you need alot

Do it as many times as necessary.

When you get as much space as you need,
hit 'edit' again,
and 'rotate custom'
enter MINUS the same number you put in before, such as: -30.

This straightens your image up again, with a wider border.

Hit 'edit' then 'crop' to trim it up

Then resize it, add text, flip it, flop it, take it somewhere else to play with it, whatever.

If you want to transparify or untransparify the BG, it's all there -- including 'options' & 'reduce colors', to reduce the K-bytes....for faster loading.

It's easier for me, anyway -- maybe it will be for someone else? Peace,
