Well I'm new at this so bare with me as I teach myself. Ok? If I trip and do a face plant you have my permission to laugh with me ! Bwaahahaaa..... (The way dingbats work is each letter of the alphabet is assigned an image. So if you typed in abc you would get the first 3 images on the dingbat example.) So I made it simple and just used the alpha character a Ok....ok....ok..... I took this page of Capt'n Raiders http://www.wtv-zone.com/captainraider/font/january/dingbats/destinysnewyears.html At the very top of this page is a text box with a true type font url. CC&P the url which in this case is : http://wtv-zone.com/captainraider/font/january/dingbats/destinysnewyears.ttf Take the above URL & a clear back gif with you to image magick. You can use this one if you don't have your own. clear.gif This is large 400x400 as I use it for allot of different things. So once you have a clear gif in IM you may want to resize to say 150x150 ? Now you go to annotate. You paste in the ttf URL in the bottom text box In the top text box where it has text auto inserted you erase the text and type in A Just one simple letter that's it. Fill color I typed in white ummm stroke color I think it is ??? I typed in white Box color I left as none Then I pushed the annotate button and got this: ding_NY.gif under 1k Then I went to composite. I went and grabbed this line and crossed my fingers toes and did the line name composite thang. gold-fat-bar.gif 3k? This is what the end result is: ding_ny_lined.gif 1k Not the best example I know. But using the right dingbat with the right bar could produce some outstanding results! Maybe try the egyptian dingbat with the gold-fat-bar.gif ? It might look great! |
