How to Make a FrameNewsgroup: Gypsy Jewels Date: Mon, Jul 9, 2001 From: Lee Make an oval on a clear gif 300x300. To make an oval, go to Image Magick and put in the address (URL) for the clear gif. Click on VIEW Click on the DRAW tab at the top of the page Select Ellipse In the coordinate box use these numbers: 130, 140, 70, 90, 0, 360 FILL COLOR = none STROKE COLOR = WHITE STROKE WIDTH = 20 You now have a white frame. Now go to the COMPOSITE tab at the top of the next page Put in the url of either a background or a flowerline or bar (flowerline has to be one with a background on it otherwise it won't work) GRAVITY = North LOCATION = +0+0 Use IN and put a checkmark in the Misc. box. Now click on the compose button and it fills in that white frame with the flowers (this is same method as the names filled in). Now you can fill in the center with a color but it will also fill around the outside of it so you have to transparatize the outside to get back just an oval. You can now decorate it as you like. Take it to Output and make it a Gif - Single File (unless you put an animation in it then it would be MultiFile) Before uploading it to your files, take it to Gifworks At Gifworks, click on the FILE button Click on OPEN IMAGE On the next page, put in the address (URL) for the image Now click n FETCH IMAGE When the image loads, Click on EDIT and select smartcrop On the next page click on Optimize. On the next page choose which one you want When the finished image loads, click on EDIT Click on SAVE On the next page, click on, "WebTV Users, Click Here" I usually use TRIM for smartcrop but it doesn't always work. I then take my gif to Gifbot (Net Mechanix) and do my optimizing. Hope I remembered everything. Any questions, feel free to post or email. I'd be only too happy to help. This is the background I used for this latest frame: Frame: On the pink flowered one in my email I made the oval a little smaller and then rotated to the right to get this look. |
