Outlining Words

Hi everyone.   A very good friend is being very creative today, and has come up with an easier way to outline our names when annotating.   I tried to get her to post it here, but she's shy (at first, lol!!). She's not sure we'd pay attention to her 'cause she not a regular poster in MsLL's - but a fairly regular lurker.

Little does she know, Laura doesn't allow us to slam the door in anyone's face!! ---------mini-tute by vicki (tencatsonedog)-----

Alright, here goes.

The fill color is the color for the inside of the name. The stroke color is for the outline. I don't know what the undercolor does yet. Have to try it.

So, say you want a red name, with a gold outline. Put the red color, or hex code in the fill color box. Put the gold name, or the gold hex code in the stroke color box.

Now, point size is how large the text will be. I usually start with 32, when using outline.

Density is how thick your text will be. To see what I mean, go try Art Brush, with 32 point size, and 25 density. Then try it with 32 point size, and 100 density. See the difference?

O.k., the stroke width is how thick your outline is going to be. Try 2 first, and see if you like it.

Once again, go experiment, and you'll see what I am saying. Try 1 on the stroke width first, then try 3.

The density makes a difference when using an outline, trust me! Also, the stroke width.

Oh, and if you want a transparent middle, just type in transparent in the fill color.

See, you don't have to do it twice! Just once!

I want credit for this! LOL Please? Just once I would love to be famous in mslauralous's ng! Just once?
