• In 1842 Britian took over Hong Kong on a 99 year agreement. In July of 1997 it was returned to China as a SAR (Special Administrative Region).
  
  
• Exchange rate is 7.75 Hong Kong dollars to 1 US dollar.
  
  
• Victoria Harbour is the third busiest harbour in the world and an important link between Mainland China and the Western World.
  
  
• Cars are righthand drive and they drive on the lefthand side of the road. This shows a British influence on the country.
