Then I heard a rustling sound
Twas little squirrels scampering around
With bushy tails and heads up high
Even they seemed to say

Walking outside was I deceived?
To see a swarm of honey bees
They were humming a song to say

Taking a stroll down by the stream so clear
I saw there grazing two beautiful deer
With their perked up ears they seemed to say
"We hope you have a wonderful day"

They touched not my rose vine climbing high
As there sat a beautiful butterfly
I whispered quietly as it flew away
"I hope you have a wonderful day"

I pray these blessings each one may see
Their beauty is created for you and me
How wonderful to appreciate the smaller things
Thanking God for the joy His creatures brings
