Luke 23:34 Jesus lived and died for us Beginning in the womb He lived and died for us So we won't be entombed Entombed in hell forever We need fear no more Jesus made the way He's our heaven's door He chose to visit earth To show us how to live He chose the way He died And asked God to forgive "Forgive them Father They know not what they do" Were His last audible words To me and to you But His word lives on In the book He wrote The bible tells us how To don our heavenly robes Ingrain the words of God Into your heart and spirit There's no other wisdom No other way Jesus is our all He IS the only way He was born for us From the womb He lived for us Knowing His doom He was willing to live Then to lay down His life He was willing to die For us to have life Who do you know That would sacrifice so much To leave Heaven's peace Just for us We who killed Him We Nailed Him to a tree We who hurt Him Yes...you and me Our sinful hearts Are as guilty as they Who pounded the nails Into His flesh that day Yet His love Is so vast and so true The last words He spoke Were "Forgive them Father They know not what they do" Jesus is in my heart I've asked Him there to stay But I'm human and a sinner I ask forgiveness every day I constantly thank God For what He's done for me He sent Jesus in my stead So I could heaven see I deserve it not I deserve the worst But Jesus said no I will go there first He was born for me From the womb He lived for me Knowing His doom He was willing to live Then to lay down His life He was willing to die For me to have life He took on my sins He took on my fate So I could have life And not suffer hell's fate Thank you and Praise you Jesus!!
