Lord my heart is broken
My life is in a mess
There's turmoil all around me
To great fear I must confess
I've been praying my heart out Lord
But the loneliness and fears are still there
The only thing I have left is hope
That you will hear and answer my prayers
I keep calling out to you Lord
I'm just barely hanging on
But if I didn't have you in my life
I could not bear up for long
I wonder lord...what did I do wrong
Why have you removed your hand
Then I argue "it's satan"
He stalks all over the land
Looking for someone to devour
He tortures till we turn from you
But your Word promises Lord
That there's nothing he can do
Nothing can rob us from your love
You are there in the midst of it all
Nothing can damage our Salvation
You will help us not to fall
You will lift us up in the crisis
You will hold us up in our fears
You will fill our spirits with your love
You will wipe away our tears
You will give us hope when there is none
You will draw close when we feel afraid
You will fill our loneliness with your presence
You will fill us with your strength
I am standing on your promises Lord
I am claiming your truths as mine
I am rebuking the works of the devil
To the heavens I will climb
It's just you and me Lord
You and me alone
No one else can fix this mess Lord
You are the only one
