I'm concerned about the situation
      That our county's in today
      With the illegal immigrants playing
      Around the borders edge

      I'm concerned for my people
      Not those from other lands
Who seek to steal our flag
For this I'll take a stand

My children have to live here
      And take the consequence
Of the actions of our government
Who aren't making very much sense

      Are they taking into consideration
      Those who've worked so hard
      To earn their rightful place
      In America's great back yard

      It surely seems to me
      That all they care about
Is to keep the illegals here
      They listen to THEIR shout

      America's voice is silenced
By the waving of the Mexican flag
I guess it holds more meaning
      To our officials of today

      I'm very disappointed
In those who lead our country
      Are they really thinking
      Of us...their own

I know this poem is going to be
      controversial. Please do not write
to me about it. Send your thoughts
      and ideas along to God.

It's only HE who can make this right.

It's only HE who knows what's right,
and it's only through the Power of
      Prayer that our country's officials
      will ultimately make the right
      decisions. This poem merely reflects
some of my fears of the future.
