DIRECT LINE: Probably... the most common idea people have about salvation is that as long as you believe in God you'll be OK; as long as you live a reasonably good life, God will just have to accept you. Of course, that's not what the Bible teaches. Jesus Christ made it very clear that there is only one way to approach God, and that is through faith in Jesus Christ (John 14:6). After all, why would Christ have had to die if there were other ways to go to Heaven, to be saved, to once again become God's beloved and protected children. God's ultimate sacrifice to save humankind was to send His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ so that whosoever believe in Him will have everlasting life (and much more.... as you learn by searching the Bible!!!) Having been brought up in a Christian home does not make you a Christian. Neither does going to church every week, reciting a prayer at every meal. None of these things make you a Christian any more than going into a garage makes you a mechanic. You have to be born again to be a Christian. God is tuned in to you just like a radio station, sending out the message, all through Creation, that He exists and that He is all-powerful. When the Bible says that "what may be known about God is plain to see "(Romans 1:21) it means that God has created human beings with an internal radio, tuned to His station. The message that God exists is sent and received! Look around you, there are wonderful things that we fail to see that are full of blessings given to us directly by God! But instead of being our response to seek Him, worship Him, and be thankful, instead we turn away from Him, the Giver of all that is good. Having faith in Him, loving Him, accepting His love for YOU -- is what makes the difference. When Jesus died on the cross for you and me, the promise of God's new agreement became a reality. God immediately begins to work in you,His child, in a TOTALLY NEW WAY....
2. God becomes yours and you become HIS (together with all His promises in the Bible, all 700 of them!...search the Scriptures (Bible)). The Holy Spirit comes to live in you, bonding you to God forever!!! 3. God forgives you completely (Hebrews 8:12). Your sins are forgiven and forgotten, YOUR NAME is written in the Book of Life, the Bible says that God throws a party in Heaven any time that anyone is saved, and you can look ahead to a new, and better life now walking hand in hand with Jesus to guide you. If God is speaking to YOU, give your heart to God today and pray this prayer with me: "Dear Heavenly Father, I don't know much, I don't know the what's and why's of many things.. but I believe with all my heart and soul that YOU LOVE ME, and that YOUR SON JESUS CHRIST died on the cross for me so that I may have eternal life, and life in abundance. Just as I am.... I come to YOU, and I accept Jesus' sacrifice on the cross, His blood that was shed for me, for the forgiveness of my sins. THANK YOU FATHER for Your LOVE for me.

Get yourself a Bible (an international version, contemporary versions are easy to understand), read it, search the scriptures. Faith comes by hearing the word of God (Romans 10:17)... Look for a church that preaches the full gospel straight from the Bible (no imitations), listen to His word through the TV, radio, seek God's face (talk to Him, share with Him, walk with Him).....And God's blessing and grace be with YOU now and always, guiding you and filling you with His Holy Spirit, through Jesus Christ our Lord!!!!!!
