+++ Courage +++

Courage is like the clouds,
It hovers and covers;
Without a thought from us.

Yet, in our time of trouble--
When needed, it becomes
A bright beacon in a blue sky.

+++ A New Day +++

The clouds hovered above
Filled with His love,
And the waves of the sea
Waited so patiently;
They went out to seek Him.

And, so another peaceful day;
Sea gulls gathered to celebrate.
Even when the clouds darkened--
Even when the raindrops fell,
They welcomed a brand new day.

+++ Fear Went Out Back Door +++

When I was twelve or so,
Me and my friend used to go
Walking along some streets
Just to pass the time away.
Boredom dwelled--small town.

But there was one street--
Quiet, but not at all neat.
A big, old house stood back
Away from street--as if
It didn*t want any company.

It was so old--and so cold
*Tho sunshine would appear,
It was not welcomed there.
We held hands and walked up
The wobbly, creaky stairs.

Spider webs everywhere--
Bats often would appear--
Floors had hit *n miss boards.
With unbelieving eyes, we saw
A dark, hovering, twisted form.

It was the spirit of the occupant
Of this old, creaky abode
Me and my friend saw, as
His Fear finally left
Out the back door !

+++ A Pet*s Devotion +++

When you look into the eyes
Of your pet, do you see
Love, contentment,
Obedience, faithfulness?

If you have not seen
Such loving eyes,
Then the pet does not
Belong with you.

+++ OLD THOUGHTS +++

You say there is no Maker up high?
A question, please,
Who made the earth, the sea, the sky?
Did you, did I?

Was it you who created
The beauty of the mountain,
The vastness of the desert,
The babbling brook?

Just take another look,
If you will, and realize
That He did all this--
Not you and not I~~~~~
