Thoughts
and
Reflections
Regarding
MOTHERHOOD

"A mother's arms
are made of tenderness,
and children sleep
soundly in them."

Victor Hugo

"Love is not blind;
love sees a great
deal more
than the actual.
Love sees the ideas,
the potential in us."

Oswald Chambers

"Strength of character
is learned at work,
but beauty of character,
is learned at home.

Henry Drummond

"No man is poor
who has a godly mother".

Abraham Lincoln

"Duty makes us do things well,
but love makes us
do them beautifully."

Phillips Brooks

"Before becoming a mother
I had a hundred theories
on how to bring up children.
Now I have seven children
and only one theory;
love them,
especially when they
least deserve it."

Kate Samperi

"I remember my mother's prayers
and they have always
followed me.
They have clung to me
all my life"

Abraham Lincoln

"Nothing can compare in beauty,
and wonder,
and admirableness,
and divinity itself
to the silent work
in obscure dwellings of
faithful women bringing
their children to honor
and virtue and piety."

Henry Ward Beecher

"It was when
I had my first child
that I understood
how much my mother loved me."

Author Unknown

"A Mother's Sacrifice"

I have been told that my
mother, when she surmissed
from the face of the
physcian that her life
and that of her child
could not both be saved...
begged him to spare the child...
So through these many
years of mine,
I have seldom thanked God
for his mercies
without thanking Him
for my mother."

James M. Ludlow

"A mother is...
one who can take
the place of all others,
but who's place no else
can take."

Gaspard Mermillod

"A mother's heart
is the child's schoolroom."

Henry Ward Beecher

"This Is A Home Where Children Live"

by Judith Bond

You may not find
all things in place,
Friend, when you enter here.
But we're a home
where children live,
We hold them very dear.
And you may find
small fingerprints
and smudges on the wall.
When the kids are gone,
we'll clean them up,
Right now we're playing ball.
For there's one thing
for which we're sure,
these children are on loan.
One day they're always underfoot,
Next think you know,
they're gone.
That's when we'll have
a well-kept house,
When they're off on
their own.
Right now, this is
where children live,
a loved and well-lived home.

Thank you for your visit.
Have a Happy Mother's Day.
Create special memories
and most of all,
"Love Each Other".
