WTF was the congress, senate and dear ol dubya thinking by butting in to the Schiavo issue? There goes one more right the American people think we might still have. Gone on the whim of some goddamn do-gooders who stuck their long nose into a private family problem.......after the courts had already ruled. Next time you have to make a decision about a DNR, look behind you.......you never know who will butt in and take that decision away from you. Oh yeah, it's all for life.......Bullshit!

The 2nd Anniversary of dubya's folly in Iraq was on Sat., March 19th. Around the world many protested our still being there and troops still dying. Dubya said all is well, and watch out Iran. My God, will we still be a country in 4 years?

Wolfowitz wants to be head honcho at the World Bank, and the world wants no part of him. Dubya will push. And how about the UN now sucking up with saying safety of wealthy countries is priority.

Rumsfeld is griping about Turkey not letting us through to attack Iraq 2 years ago, Condi is busy telling China what they should do.......I don't think they're listening. What an administration. They have the longest noses of any so far.........faith based ya know!

As of today 1523 American soldiers have been killed in Iraq. No end in sight, as usual.

The election in Iraq is over......but they still will have more to see who's the top banana. Allawi somehow is still in the running even though his party did not come out on top, or even second. Shades of US involvement smelled here.

Scarfed this from a Molly Ivins column.....
Hubert Humphrey said, "The moral test of government is how that government treats those who are in the dawn of life, the children; those who are in the twilight of life, the elderly; and those who are in the shadows of life -- the sick, the needy, the handicapped."
Bush seems to think they're all targets.

Condi is Sec of State and has gone traveling pushing for the world to forgive dubya his transgressions and c'mon over to our side. NATO back in the picture for Iraq.......does this mean our soldiers will come home? NO.

Iran is being targeted as the next terrorism war. Russia is buddying up to them, along with China to start their own little group of nay sayers. Meanwhile N. Korea says "Yep, we have the nukes"! What will dubya do? Scary thought, isn't it?

Social Security is being tooted as "good for you". Anything dubya & co say is good for us, is inherently bad....unless you are rich. Dubya likes rich folks......they get him out of trouble.
However the gray brigade (over 50's) aren't buying dubya's SS shit. They will be a big deciding factor in this mess.......remember write your representatives and don't forget to tell them they'll lose your vote if they say yes to raping the livelihood of retired and retiring Americans. The 2006 elections can turn those pubs out in a flash if we stick together.

As of today, 1460 American soldiers have died in Iraq. WHY?

Yesterday the country saw Dubya sworn in for his second chance. Is he properly humble with the experience? No Way! We heard the march is still on for more wars and pretty much the "My way or the highway" attitude he's so famous for. It's going to be a long 4 years, to say the least.

During the coronation and the speech afterwards, did Dubya mention the 1371 killed in his war of choice in Iraq? Of course not, why spoil a good party with death and destruction. I wonder how the families of the dead American soldiers feel about his ignoring the price their loved one paid.
Chances are he didn't get that report.

The nominees for his cabinet and other appointments are in progress...did ya see Ms. Boxer snarl at Condi? And Senator John F. Kerry, along with Ms. Boxer voted no to the approval of the future Sec. of State. I applaud their refusing to give the unanimous stamp of approval to someone who has been less than candid about the workings of this administration.

In other nominations we've seen abuse and sex scandals glossed over. Ah the powers of the presidency and moral values.
Being big is where it's at.......or is it?

Social Security is still on dubya's agenda. Do they have a plan in place? No. Planning ahead might mean success. This bunch thinks on it's feet and we've seen the result.
Does Iraq ring a bell?
Also Medicare is still being kicked around. Medicaid is said to be on the chopping block. The new plans seem to lose the poor and disabled in the cracks of life. Nobody ever said dubya & co were compassionate, did they?

Nine days until the elections in Iraq. I hope they are successful and we can bring the troops home. Yes, I know, it's a dream. The killing is not stopping, if anything, it's escalating. Was it worth it? Not in my book.

All in all, this second chance of Dubya's can wreak more havoc on the world and our country. Or...he can correct his mistakes and restore the good name of the U.S.A. by using diplomatic channels instead of invasion tactics. We are better than this administration has shown to the world. Some of us don't want to be a Texas cowboy. YeeeHaaaaa!

If you haven't heard lately, the war in Iraq is still going on and men and women are still dying. Dubya & co do their best to keep the news off the war.......and where are those pesky WMD's? And why is major combat still going on when dubya told us it was over on May 1, 2003?

Instead we have this administration wanting to change the constitution to ban same-sex marriages. Pretty important, huh? Pretty damn bigoted too, but then they have gawd on their sides........so they say. Write your representatives and Just Say NO!
Hey, it worked for Nancy......or did it?

Or how about the booming economy.......everything is wonderful to hear the boys in the White House speak. All those jobs lost will be replaced one of these days.......since flipping burgers is now an assembly line job, the manufacturing biz will be a hot item. That unemployment rate is getting lower by the month.......as more and more lose their benefits, which dubya & co dumped because of the hiring boom.
You get the picture.

Would you like some healthcare? Better have good insurance because there will be no national program to help the poor, the aged and disabled. Let alone the rest of us who work hard to make ends meet. Tough shit peeps, it's a social program and that money has to go for dubya's wars.

Social Security is on the chopping block......and the vultures on Wall Street are delighted. We the people have paid in for years and we'll be working extra years to get reduced benefits. They used to call this highway robbery......now it's gonna be good for you! Get real......the system is not broken, but the deficit is $7,519,646,830,227.83 at the moment and growing as I type.
We are getting screwed.

1304 American soldiers have died in Iraq since this war of choice was started. 1304 flag draped transfer tubes (nicer word than coffins?) have come home.....brought back in secrecy, no cameras, no families to gather in sorrow. Just a runway at Dover.......what we don't see, we will not think of.
Yes we will and yes we do.....damn it, recognize these deaths and let the country mourn them.
