Red Velvet Cake

    Ingredients

      1 pkg german chocolate pudding-type cake dry mix
      8 oz light sour cream
      1/2 cup water
      1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
      1 oz bottle red food color
      1/2 cup fat-free egg substitute
      8 oz fat-free cream cheese
      8 Tbsp powdered sugar
      1 tsp vanilla extract


    Heat oven to 350. Spray 13x9 pan with cooking spray..In large bowl combine all but the last 3 ingredients on low speed until moistened, beat 2 minutes at high speed..

    Pour batter into pan.

    Bake 25 to 35 minutes.

    Soften cream cheese for icing & combine remaining three ingredients Spread a thin layer on cake.
