Ingredients
1/2 C RF stick margarine
3/4 C granulated sugar
3 T light corn syrup
1 large egg
1 T vanilla extract
1 tsp imitation butter flavoring
2 1/2 C all-purpose flour
Sugar crystals or edible decorations
Cream margarine and sugar, add corn syrup, egg, vanilla extract, and butter flavoring.
Gradually beat in flour until all has been added.
Put dough into plastic wrap, refrigerate 4 hours up to a day if needed.
Turn dough out onto floured surface. Sprinkle flour lightly over the dough to keep it from being sticky.
Roll dough 1/8-inch thick. Lightly flour cookie cutters, cut dough into your favorite shapes. Place on an un-greased cookie sheet. Sprinkle with sugar crystals or other edible decorations, bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 10 minutes or until the edges are golden.
To prevent over-baking, using an inverted baking sheet is a good idea.
Turn out onto wire racks to cool.
