Ingredients
2/3 C Butter Flavor Crisco
3/4 C sugar
1 T + 1 tsp milk
1 tsp vanilla
1 egg
2 C flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
Combine Crisco, sugar, milk and vanilla in large bowl. Beat at medium speed of mixer until well blended, Beat in egg.
Combine flour, baking powder and salt add to creamed mixture on low speed until well blended.
Cover and refrigerate several hours or overnight.
On floured surface roll dough to 1/8-inch thick, Cut with cookie cutters .
Work with 1/2 of the dough at a time.
Place 2 inches apart on un-greased baking sheet.
Sprinkle with colored sugars or leave plain and frost when cooled.
Bake at 375 for 7 to 9 minutes, or until set.
Remove immediately to cooling rack.
Special Notes: If using frosting or decors, be sure to adjust your points accordingly.
