Linguine With Clam Sauce

    Ingredients

      8 oz uncooked linguine or other pasta
      2 T olive oil
      1/2 C chopped onion 4 cloves garlic, minced
      3/4 C packed chopped fresh parsley
      1 tsp dried oregano
      1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
      2- 6 ˝ oz cans minced clams, drained, juice reserved
      1/4 C white wine or water


    Cook linguine according to package Directions, omitting salt; drain well.

    While the pasta is cooking, prepare the sauce. In a medium skillet, sauté the onion and garlic About 2 minutes. Add 1/2 cup of parsley, Oregano, pepper flakes, and juice saved from The clams. Add the wine and simmer about 5 minutes. Add the clams and heat about 1 minute.

    Add pasta to the sauce; toss until mixed. Sprinkle the remaining chopped parsley on top of the pasta.
