Hershey Syrup

    1 C or 16 servings: One serving= 1 T=O Units.


    Ingredients

      1 T butter
      1 T cornstarch
      2 T unsweetened cocoa
      1 cup fat-free skim milk
      1 packet Equal sweetener
      1/2 tsp vanilla extract


    Melt butter, combine cocoa, cornstarch and a few grains of salt and blend into melted butter until smooth. Add milk and cook over moderate heat, stirring constantly until slightly thickened.

    Remove from heat stir in vanilla and equal. Set pan in ice water stir until completely cold.

    THE SAUCE WILL THICKEN AS IT COOLS. Can be used for any chocolate syrup replacement.
