Ingredients
2 large sweet onions
1/2 C flour
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp oregano
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1/2 tsp dry mustard

Heat oven to 425. Spray roasting pan, Peel onions, cut the bottom level, leaving core in tact.
To make flower cut onion from top to bottom, stopping 1/2 inch from core. Cut onion this way 5 times to form 10 sections or petals. Carefully loosen petals slightly by rapping onion lightly on work surface, and loosening with fingers. It will bloom more as it cooks.
Place flour, salt, pepper, oregano, paprika & mustard in small bag. Spray onions with cooking spray to lightly coat each petal. Put onions in bag & shake gently to coat. Remove onion pat off excess flour mix. Place in pan & spray onions lightly again with cooking spray to aid in browning.
Bake onions for 35 to 40 minutes or until tender. Serve onion with BBQ sauce as a dip, or as a side dish with meal.
