This week's carving is a subject from the time era of the hobos, and the carnival was a place they sometimes found they could get a few day's work.
This carving is a depection of the Carnival Barker, or the well dressed guy with the megaphone that was trying to convince folks to play the games or come into the tents and see the show.
Our good natured, loud talking, barker is carved on a VG/F 1937 buffalo nickel, and my usual G hanging J mark is on the reverse.
This is another higher grade carving with a very smooth field and lots of crisp clean details.
The picture is good enough that you can see this would be a nice carving to add to your higher grade collection.
