Everyone knows about General Custer and the Battle of The Little Bighorn. Since I live less than 200 miles from the battle field, which is now a national monument, I have chosen to depict Custer on a 1927 buffalo nickel.
This is a higher grade carving that employs many of the techniques that I learned from Billzach's generous assistance. It has a good smooth field and all of the features are nice and crisp and clean. It is signed on the reverse with my usual G hanging J mark.
A nice carving to add to your higher grade collection.
Happy collecting and thank you for looking,
