HOBO NICKEL - MOUNTIAN MAN FUR TRAPPER

First of all, I would like to thank all of the collectors and carvers that responded to my open letter from last week. I recieved a lot comments and was a little suprised at the well rounded nature of them. It has been an education!

This week's carving is done on a XF light full horn, 1937 buffalo nickel and is signed on the reverse with my usual G hanging J mark. It has a good smooth field and a lot of crisp, clean, high relief detail. The texturing on the fur hat is something new that I just learned to do, and it came out quite well.
This would be a nice carving to add to your higher grade hobo nickel collection.
