Welcome to what is considered the hottest month of the year-August! August is named after Caesar Augustus, who apparently could move the months around at will-back then when nobody universally could agree upon what was a year.Late July to late August, is in the Northern Hemisphere, the hottest part of the year. The Sun, royal Leo's ruler shines brightly now. While the longest day in June, this is Summer's true height.August is one of those months with no major holidays, either political or religious. Leo's pride and self-posession are legendary, and the Boomer Generation has all of the Leo traits in spades! We want to be individuals, control our own destiny, and believe in noble causes.

These are the Spells by which to reassume
An empire over the disentangled doom:
To suffer woes which Hope thinks infinite;
To forgive wrongs darker than death or night;
To defy Power, which seems omnipotent;
To love and bear; to hope till Hope creates
From its own wreck the thing it contemplates;
Neither to change, nor falter, nor repent;
This...is to be
Good, great and joyous, beautiful and free;
This alone is Life, Joy, Empire, and Victory ! "
Percy Bysshe Shelley, Author;
Prometheus Unbound
