CRAPS II
STRATEGY
Never walk up to the table and begin placing bets.
Ask the dealer if the table is hot (shooters winning) or cold (casino winning).
Wait for a new game to begin before betting.
Craps is a streaky game.
The players may win for awhile and then it may switch back to the casino.
Don't be stubborn and stupid by continually betting the Pass Line if shooter after shooter is losing.
Switch to the Don't Pass line bet.
You won't make as much money as the Pass Line, but you won't lose either.
If you are playing to try and make money stick to those Pass Line, Don't Pass line, Come, and Don't Come bets with the odds.
You can bet on an individual number (4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10) without having the shooter roll it as a point if you wish at any time during a game.
This is usually a $3 minimum bet.
If you are ahead and want to try some of the Propisition bets just for fun go ahead.
Remember, they pay big because they are hard to win and the casino has a big advantage over you.
JUST FOR FUN
\
The "Field" is a one time bet (win or lose with one try) and is made to look very inviting on the layout.
But look at the numbers 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, and 12, with the 2 and 12 paying double and triple.
Each is difficult to roll, so the bet is hard to win.
The hard ways 4, 6, 8, and 10 in the center of the layout are made by rolling pairs (2+2=4, 3+3=6, 4+4=8, 5+5=10) and pay a big return.
The spaces marked 6 and 8 at the corner of the layout should be avoided.
They pay only 1 to 1 which is terrible odds.
If you want to bet the 6 or 8 bet them at the top of the layout for the $3 minimum, you'll get the right odds.
If you feel a seven (7) is about to be rolled tell the dealer "Any Seven" or "Big Red" and he'll place your wager in the appropriate place on the layout.
It'll pay you 5 to 1.
You can do the same for the craps numbers (2, 3, 12) by saying "AnY Crap" and tossing the dealer your wager.
