"CHRISTOPHER"
When I held you for the first time,
Oh, so close to me,
I realized the miracle,
You had turned out to be.
I touched the softness of your face,
And counted all ten toes,
I marveled at the dark blue eyes,
And pushed up little nose.
I moved each tiny finger,
As I held your hand in mine,
I felt the joy of mother love,
And lost all track of time.
And now just one year later,
I hear your laughter ring,
As those sweet little fingers,
Get into everything.
And those dark eyes are always,
Looking for a way,
To creep up to the cat's dish,
Without too much delay.
You're learning how to use a spoon,
And how to stand alone,
You're growing up so quickly,
Soon you'll be on your own.
But for now, you're in my care,
You are my pride and joy,
And when the day has ended,
You're a tired little boy.
As I tuck you into bed at night,
I thank God up above,
That He entrusted you to me,
My son, my little love~

"GOD BLESS OUR CHILDREN"
God Bless our chidren
So small and meek
God Bless our children
Each day of the week
God Bless our children
To honor and obey
God Bless our children
In each and everyway
God Bless our children
To grow big and strong
God Bless our children
To know right from wrong

"LIFE'S OCEAN"
Life is like an ocean
Just don't get lost in the motion!
Don't be afraid of being hurt
Go ahead and flirt!
Bask in life's sunshine
Drink up life's wine!
Life lasts just a short while
Show the world you can smile!
Life is full of emotion
Take a dip in the ocean!

"A POEM FOR YAH"
Okay ...so you want a rhyme,
Some poetry, perhaps a limerick in time..
I'll try to cogitate, think, organize, my mind,
To try to give you that poem, that very fine
rhyme.
So let's see if this grouper, this poster you
know,
Can post you a poem that will set you aglow.
Aglow
either with glee or a blush of delight,
Or aglow with the vision of some new found
insight.
Sexually explicit might make some of you red,
But
most here have seen naked people in bed!
I could write a dumb blonde joke, but that's getting
stale,
I could "write" you a picture of a cat with no
tail!
That might make you smile, but I doubt you
would glow,
So I wonder, I wonder which way should I go?
A new found insight...now that just might work,
Except I don't have one...I'd look like a jerk!
So since I can't seem to find something to write,
I will bid you adieu and to all a good night!

"I AM"
I am the solitary blade of grass,
standing like a
sentinel on the hill,
Bending willingly to the soft breeze
that
caresses me tenderly.
I am the great oak in the forest,
feeling the sun
beat lovingly down on me.
I defy the stongest winds, for I am stronger.
I
will live forever.
I am the pure white rose,
glowing with angelic
sweetness.
I outshine all else, for I am beauty
itself.
I am the willow, weeping for mankind.

"SUMMER DAYS"
Flys buzzing round.
Children playing.
Screendoors slamming.
"What's to eat Mom?"
Ice Cream Trucks tinkeling through neighborhoods.
"Can I have some money?"
Screendoors slamming.
Children playing.
"He hit me."
"Did not."
Screendoors slamming.
Dishes done,
Laundry to do.
"Can we play in the Sprinklers?"
Screendoors slamming.
Wet dripping paths across clean floors.
Dogs barking.
Children playing.
Sheets and towels hung in the sunshine.
A few minutes for a tall glass of iced tea.
A green salad tossed together.
Hot dogs simmering in a pot.
Ice cubes rattling in a pitcher of Kool-Aid.
Bar B Ques wafting throughout the neighborhood.
A handful of dandelions picked by a child,
lovingly placed in a jelly glass as a table
centerpiece.
Screendoors slamming.
Someone drives by, radio blasting.
Children playing basketball, against the garage
door.
The sun sighs as it starts to set.
Children in the bathtub, as the day winds down.
Children in their jammies. and their nightgowns.
Prayers said, into bed.
Is it only the first week of Summer?

"SWEET DREAMER"
I whisper in upon the wind
to wish you a sweet good night...
I step up close,
and look upon your
sleeping self...
you sleep so sweetly, and I wish...
only to touch you,
to feel the warmth
of your skin
under my fingertips...
You stir.... do you know I'm here...
watching you...
gazing upon your
loving face...??
Do you feel my presence
in your gentle slumber...
Or are you just dreaming
of happy things...
A
smile comes to your lips...
Could you know I'm here...?
But no,
you must be dreaming of
lovely things...
sunshine, and smiles...
I
wish
I could share those things with you
but the
distance calls me back...
I must leave you
now...
and be satisfied in knowing,
you sleep
gently...
Sleep sweetly, my love...
Sleep sweetly.....

"A PRAYER FROM THE HEART"
for
Please listen closely, Silver
To the story we do tell.
About a "special" E-mail,
To God - to make you well.
We told him that we miss you,
And your loving friendly ways.
The messages you send at night,
Because you're sleeping days.
Your love for all the Kittens,
Be they big or be they small.
Makes no difference what the breed,
You're there for one and all.
We need you hale and hearty,
You're the hub of YAH's big wheel.
We told the Lord a dozen times,
How all of YAH does feel.
We'll keep on with the E-mails,
To the Good Lord up above.
And for you -our precious Silver,
Accept YAH's Family Love.

~ GRACE THE WIND ~
To fly and grace the gentle wind,
into the sky's of great escape.
Soaring over tree tops high,
no worry of ever being late.
Adventure to the mountain tops,
where snow fields feel so cool.
Gliding to the edge of freedom,
where life sometimes seems cruel.
Skim along a lake of deep blue,
searching for your next meal.
Everything is as it seems,
how wonderful it all must feel.
Currents can take you homeward bound,
to your safest place.
Nothings going to bar your way,
as you glide high up in space.
Slipping into the branches high,
it's time for a needed rest.
Gaze upon the horizon far,
for this would be my quest.
The spirit of the raptors life,
magnificent and oh so regal.
Sharpened claws that holds his place,
such is the life of the eagle.
