Dear Sir/Madam:

Please take note that the above property is now and has always been protected by Hazard, Fire and Liability Insurance procured and paid for by myself without the need to go through the Mortgage Company. Proof of insurance has been provided to Green Tree. The Mortgage Terms do not require me to purchase insurance thru the Mortgage Company.

  • At some point during the Policy term Green Tree solicited an invoice directly from my Insurance Company, above, and proceeded to take over payment of the premiun. Green Tree did this without permission or any written notice to me. I phoned Green Tree Customer Service and was told that the insurance department does not take calls and that someone would get back to me. Nobody Did.

  • To make matters worse the insurance company, above, miss quoted the premium amount to Green Tree. The correct amount is substantially less. After just receiving my annual Mortgage Account Disclosure Statement it has taken much time and effort to figure out just what and how this happened.

  • After the current Policy Period is up I do not want to make my insurance payments thru Green Tree. Please review the Mortgage Account Statement again to see what adjustments will be made to the monthly payment spread over 36 months as outlined. I understand that you have paid what you have paid and I will pay the shortage spread over 36 months if the total amount is adjusted to reflect my paying the premium directly to the insurance company as before when the policy renews.
    • TO BE CLEAR, PLEASE HAVE SOMEONE WITH THE AUTHORITY TO RESOLVE ALL THE ISSUES, INSURANCE AS WELL AS ESCROW PAYMENTS, CALL ME AT 973-479-5870 SO I MAY GO OVER THIS AND MY OPTIONS BEFORE YOU SEND ANYTHING IN WRITTING.
