As per your letter dated 10/20/05 and our phone conversation today I have enclosed herewith or by seperate priority mail certified return receipt the alleged cable television decoder. I appreciate the opportunity to settle this matter, however I would like you to consider the following.

• I have been a customer in good standing for seventeen years.
  
• This product was purchased to be used on my boat as a cable ready device to receive the basic channels. I purchased the product in good faith and was never aware that it could be illegal.
  
• The device has never worked for that purpose or for any other alleged illegal purpose, in fact the device has never worked at all, therefore no theft could have occured.
  
• .Why was this product available in the first place. If you have been victomised, so have I !
  
• I understand your position and I have fully complied with your request to surrender the alleged "decoder", however, I feel the amount of $1500.00 that you are requesting as a settlement is very unreasonable. I would like you to consider my seventeen years as a customer and my full cooperation in this matter.
