I could not believe
what I heard today
there will be no Merry
Christmas words to say.
No signs and no greetings that
have Christ's name within
in a world that is loveless
and suffering.
No Merry Christmas for you
no Merry Christmas for me
but when Christ comes to judge
they will see what will be.
So why buy the wreaths, the
gifts and the trees,
since CHRISTmas is not
about any of these.
It's about how our nation
was formed on belief
of a savior who would bring us
a life free from grief.
All our laws and our documents
were built from that source
a wisdom much higher
and free from remorse.
Politically correct is
now what's in style
at the cost of our losing
whatever's worth while.
But when the universe shakes
and our earth quakes
who is it they'll call
to forgive their mistakes?
They say forget about CHRISTmas
they'll forget and condemn
but when Christ brings rewards
He'll forget about them.
So no more shopping for me
to put under a tree
till they bring back His name
that's the way it will be!
