I'd rather you have laughter
I'd rather that you smile
that gray cloulds never touch your life
not even for awhile.

BUT when they do
I share with you,
for the days you don't feel ready
and the world's weight
brings you fear or sadness
when the future seems unsteady,

a higher means of wisdom
a greater source of love
the written word of comfort
from the Father up above:

" I will never forsake you
nor will I ever leave you
no matter what others may do.

Put not your trust in earthling man
your walls are before me
you're in My hand.

I know the numbers
of hairs on your head
from the founding of the world.
Whom is it that you
should ever dread
or what they have unfurled?

No weapon formed against you
will ever prove to succeed
since I hear the righteous' prayers
and know what it is they need.

I will wipe out every tear
and death will be no more
you will not 'faint from fear'
I have stationed angels at your door.

For look I am making all things new
I sent My Son, for this, to you
and the 'disgusting thing
that causes desolation'
will NOT destroy My holy nation.

My words are not empty
they go out to do
all I have promised
because they are true.

Draw close to Me
I will pull you through.
Call out MY name
it's a strong tower for you."
