On The 4th Remember

What a wonderful country we live in.
All the freedoms we have were NOT given.
So it's important for us to remember
those who FOUGHT for them
and did not surrender.

On this fourth of July, Independence day,
think IF all of our rights were taken away
we'd be back where our forefathers came from
in a time when one spoke with a six-gun.

There's no place like the land that we live in
even though it might not quite be heaven.

It's our turn to contribute to history
independence requires responsibility.

We should leave our children a legacy
like those who left one for us all.
A reason for them to be happy
with no fears for them to recall.

As you hold fire cracker in hand
and be merry in your celebration
remember to take your stand
for the rights we enjoy in this nation.

What a God-given privilege to live in
a land where each of our dreams can come true.
What a great gift our forefathers have "given".
What a blessing for me and for you.

Let's help, hope and pray
these freedoms will last
as we enjoy a
fourth-of-July blast!
