So, I walked trammed and bussed all over Göteborg. And in between I had to eat and drink. Kungsportsavenyn offers a wide variety of restaurants and cafés. The street is lined with them. The menu is almost always posted by the entrance. Fish, naturally, plays the main role, but there is also pasta and steak. The latter being mostly filet, (but not really filet mignon), with bearnaise sauce, accompanied by a huge portion of klyftpotatis , deep fried potato wedges. I had a scotch before dinner, and that's when I found out why so many Swedes seem to drink only beer!



No this is not a few left over sips, this is a full glass! Actually 4 centiliter. Liquor is sold by the centiliter. (2 teaspoons, while 9 teaspons = 1 jigger) It adds up! $12,- for a small rum and coke! Like the one I am contemplating in the hotel bar. If you look really close, you might see tears in my eyes.
