And there it was.
Luzern. Took this picture in the late afternoon, when the sun was low and lit up the top of the alps in the background. It was a quite spectacular view, much more so than on the photo.
The weather that day wasn't all that bad and I did not have to struggle with my umbrella. On the contrary, I had to struggle with my sense of time and place. Was I not in Switzerland....? Because right outside the railroad station I saw this and thought a time warp had beamed me to the Netherlands.

The gas prices in Switzerland are really high, so bicycles are a good substitute for cars. I have seen many really small economy cars there, just like in Düsseldorf, but there is always the exception.




Of course,
there is more to Luzern, than just bicycles and sports cars,
