On Sunday April 1, early in the morning,
I set foot on German soil at the Düsseldorf International Airport. Immigration and customs procedures were amazingly simple. Once through all that, I took the elevator up to the Departure Hall where I went in search for a bank to exchange money.
I followed the signs and found a place where I could trade my Dollars for Euros and went into EUROSHOCK!!!!!!
I was used to always getting more local currency for my Dollar, but here I got only 65 Eurocents. The almighty greenback looked pale in comparison to its European counterpart. But, in spite of that bad experience, I managed to get by. Just had to watch the budget. Like not falling for the temptation of buying a, most likely, very expensive latte at this place:
