![]() So, how does one get around Düsseldorf? Like many a big city she has a vast array of public transportation, underground trains, overground streetcars and busses. Very efficient but a tad on the expensive side, given the low value of my Dollar. But I found another form of public transportation, that conveniently fit my budget. ![]() Thanks to the ideal location of the hotel, within walking distance from the major attractions, I put quite a number of miles on that pair. But, of course, I had to take to the rails, not only because some destinations were too far away for walking, but also because I just love to ride trains and streetcars, especially abroad. Here are some pictures I took of Düsseldorf's trams and underground. | |

The U-Bahn. It runs underground in the city center only. This is "Haltestelle Nordpark" |
OH, and by the way, before going on to the next subject, take a look at another form of transportation. |
