Once upon a time, in the Altstadt of Düsseldorf, there were these two Statues. There they stood, staring at each other, not moving an inch.
Then one day a Typical Tourist arrived and decided to have some fun with them.
So he placed himself between them and, like all Typical Tourists, had his picture taken. The Statues now stared at him instead of at each other.
The Typical Tourist now took a closer look at one of the Statues and decided its nose needed cleaning.
Proud of his actions, he had another picture taken. Typical Tourists do that a lot, you know.
The Typical Tourist, an American, by the way, now turned to the other Statue and tried to cheer it up. It just stared.
He then noticed something between its teeth and took care of that in a most expedious manner. All the while the Statues just stared.
The Typical Tourist then once more had his picture taken, while gesturing to the Statues to keep their distance. They just kept staring.
The Typical Tourist then went his way and left the Statues once again staring at each other.
One of them finally spoke and said: " The things you have to put up with, when it comes to Typical Tourists.....!"
They are most likely still standing there and more Typical Tourists will try to amuse them.
