The
lobby was not all that bad either. And that's where it all ended. I was
going to spend the night in cell-block C, cell # 2322. I kid you
not, that was the impression I got. There was a long, narrow, low-
ceilinged hall with doors on both sides. Mine opened to a postage stamp
size room. The bed was so tightly wedged in its corner, I had barely
enough room to get in or out of it. The bathroom was compact and, had
it been a size smaller, would have fit in an airplane. OK, maybe I am
overdoing it a bit, but for the inflated price, I had expected a little
more elbow room. My family had driven me to the hotel and after
admiring my luxurious quarters, we decided to drown my sorrow in the
bar.
After that, we said our good byes, the family left, I had dinner and
turned in early. The next morning I took the shuttle to the airport and
flew home. The end of yet another enjoyable vacation.
