A HELICOPTER CRASH
in northern Afghanistan has claimed
the lives of two Miramar-based Marines.
The Marines were aboard a
CH-53-E Super Stallion that went down
south of the Afghan city of Bagram.
Staff Sgt. Walter F. Cohee III 26, of Mardela Springs, Md.
Both members
Five other Marines injured in the crash are
Cpl. David J. Lynne, 23, a crew chief from Mecklenburg, N.C.

Cohee had been a Marine since 1993 and was a communications/navigation systems technician.
Sgt. Dwight J. Morgan 24, of Mendocino County Ca.
Morgan was a helicopter mechanic.
A Marine since 1998.

The injured were being treated at
"a medical facility within the Operation Enduring Freedom theater of operations," Johnson said.
