GOOD-BYE, MY LARRY... GOOD-BYE

I'M FREE

Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free
I'm following the path God
has laid you see.
I took His hand when I heard Him call
I turned my back and left it all.

I could not stay another day,
To laugh, to love, to work, or play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way.
I found that peace at the close of day.

If my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joys.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss,
Oh yes, these things I too will miss.

Be not burdened with times of sorrow.
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life's been full, I savored much.
Good friends, good times,
a loved one's touch

Perhaps my time seemed all too brief.
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up you hearts and peace to thee.
God wanted me now; He set me free!

Miss Me - But Let Me Go

When I come to the end of the road
and the sun has set for me
I want no rites in a gloom filled room,
Why cry for a soul set free?

Miss me a little - but not too long,
And not with your heads bowed low.
Remember the love that we once shared,
Miss me - but let me go.

For this is a journey that we all must take
And each must go alone.
It's all a part of the Master's plan,
A step on the road to home.

When you are lonely and sick of heart,
Go to the friends we know.
And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds,
Miss me - but let me go.

Someone said to me, and I find it very comforting to think about:

"One night I heard a man lecture who said he had passed over too soon and was made to return until later. He said he was told we all wait in this gorgeous park of peace and tranquility to meet our loved ones and mentally prepare for the remainder of the journey. I have always embraced the thought of release since then. Who can be afraid when they think of a gorgeous park of birds, butterflies, flowers and shade trees. We will have a picnic."

I like to think Larry is waiting for me in this park.

Thought of you with love today, but that is nothing new. I thought about you yesterday, and days before that too. I think of you in silence, I often speak your name. All I have are memories and a picture in a frame. Your memory is a keepsake, with which I'll never part. God has you in his keeping, I have you in my heart.
