If I could just turn back the time
And relive every day.
I'd remember every baby
After me, that came to stay.

I especially remember one.
The last one after nine.
And I wondered why God sent him.
Now I know. He would be mine.

I would be the one to tend him
When he was one and two and three.
What a rowdy little fellow.
He surely tested me!

Then I grew much older.
I got married. Had a child.
He went his way. I went mine..
Then he became a little wild.

A little reckless too
Trying out his youthful wings.
And found himself in trouble
Because of all those things.

It took him a little while
To grow up and see the light.
The baby boy I tended...
Turned out to be alright.

Now I know why he was sent.
There was a mission set for him...
To be here when my life
On earth began to slowly dim.

I thank God for you my brother
He had you stay right here;
To help me when my road grew rough,
And I needed you real near.

You grew just like God wanted.
From a sapling to a tree.
With a heart as big as all out doors;
I think God sent you here for me.

Your strength will hold me up.
Your love will be my light.
Your hand will reach to help me...
Through all my days, until my night.

By your sister Carol who loves you.
