Disclaimer - The first 11 photos are not mine.    My camera, once again, decided to delete 3 day's pictures so I downloaded these photos from the internet.

Athenry Castle

Garderobe (bathroom) in Athenry Castle

The projection is the exterior view of the garderobe - everything just falls into a trough - you want to be downwind at all costs

Train for tour of Clonmacnoise peat bog harvesting area - our least favorite part of the trip.

Trim Castle where "Braveheart" was filmed

A flooded road we encountered

More flooding

Newgrange

Entrance to Newgrange chamber

Typical landscape

We saw a little boy in the middle of the road waving a long rod.   Our guide said we'd be seeing either sheep or cows being herded from the barn to a field.&nbsc &nbsc Needless to say, it was sheep. Boy, were we lucky they weren't cows because they don't run so we would have waited much long and might have missed a meal waiting for them.    Oh the horror!!!

More typical scenery from Hills of Tara

Wall surrounding Londonderry

Heather

Giant's Causeway

More Giant's Causeway

Ulster American Folk Park.   This fascinating museum had a village with authentic buildings and homes which had been moved from all over Ireland.

The village leads to a representation of a town with an entrance to the docks where the immigrants boarded small boats heading to America

They board the ship

Where they enter the small living quarters with less than simple accomodations

And, at the end of their harrowing journey, they enter the New World

Speaking of simple accomodations, this is the bathtub in one of ours. Why does life have to be so hard???

More flooding.   We were heading for Blarney which should have taken an hour.   After five or six detours because of flooded roads, we arrived two hours later.

Rock of Cashel

Tower on Rock of Cashel

Even more scenery

Bantry House (I didn't like it very much)

Bantry House gardens

I just thought these flowers were so cute

Suspension bridge we crossed at Mizen Head

More Mizen Head

Kinsale

Marsha and I were the only ones brave enough to go out into the miserable weather to take a photo of the Kinsale harbor . . . as you can see, we shouldn't have wasted our time.

Glendalough

Final meal together in Hollywood
