Linda, who owns a quilt shop,asked several of us if we would be interested in making a quilt top to be included in an upcoming book. She had arranged to do several books. The quilt I put together was a new idea: printing photos onto fabric to include in a quilt. Linda was using only her own snapshots of her children, to avoid possible infringement laws.
My part in the plan went well and was fun to participate in. Unfortunately, the woman Linda was working with on the book put it out under her own name. Then the quilts disappeared, even the one with Linda's children's photos.
When I mentioned that I had found a photo of that unfinished quilt and asked if it would be okay to put it on my website, that was a plus for Linda, because she had no photos of the quilts. I had no idea her great quilt adventure had ended so badly.
