"Meri's Sampler," 1990

Nancy began this in CA, in her first quilt class.
It was a quilt-as-you-go method, making and hand-quilting one block at a time.
It sat for years before she finally put it together with no quilting in the sashing or borders.
She figured by then, 13 years after starting this quilt, the primary color scheme
wouldn't appeal to Meri. Meri, however, embraced it and said it was still hers.
She has used it for years and laundered it many times.
It is now past its prime, but the memories are there.
