In preparation for "Come Alive in '95," we planned a quilt made of blocks provided by each participant. Valerie did a great job on the family tree, using different colors and leaf shapes for different generations and their spouses. The attendees did a fine job of making blocks either beforehand or at the event. Sally Bacon offered to put it together, as she was making bed-size quilts for her family. It turned out to be a big job, so her mother, who was to get the finished product, turned it over to me. It had outgrown Dotty's apartment, so after I finished it, I showed it at a few more events and then turned it over to Valerie at Christmas 2007. We had no more available wall space, and we know she will keep it safe.
