Nancy issued a challenge for Faithful Circle Quilters to make 16" square theme blocks, and then to bring coordinating 4" squares. Friend Lee made this theme block, and various quilters, including Nancy, brought small squares. Participants got chances for a drawing, and Nancy won this set! Then she made a lot more blocks, including four 8" ones. She took it to friend Mala's house to lay out the blocks. Mala (from India) said, "It needs applique. I will make some!" Mala said the two birds (in one of her blocks) were "Nancy & Bob," and now we are renaming them "Rick & Deanna." This is a gift for their 5th wedding anniversary.
