"Red, White, and Blue," 1996

This was made as a donation to the Faithful Circle Quilters' Show Silent Auction in 1996.
It sold for either $55 or $65, one of the highest prices that year.
The woman who bought this one and "American Poets Quilt" asked for documentation,
so I wrote them both up and mailed them to her in time for the weddings.
She was giving them to two young women close to her, who were graduating from college and getting married.
She wanted these to be very special, lasting gifts, that they might hand down as family heirlooms.
I made the quilt from mostly small pieces of fabric, with trims that we bought at a nearby store that sold unusual stuff.
