"Star Cat," 2008. 
This quilt was a birthday gift for friend Amy. It began with my original block, "Minnesota Star." A cat went into the center of the star, since Amy is a cat lover, and fabric with interesting light effects became the outer border. The green and blue hand-dyed fabric became the inner border and the binding.
